"I don’t think Danny will be critical, he’s too much of a nice guy. When the TV cameras come on, he might change a bit but it depends on how they’re approaching the show. I met Danny on one of the first tours I ever did, he’s a real nice guy. It’s going to be weird to see him in a judgmental role. He stays away from the whole celebrity thing, which surprises me. All of The Script are really nice, I think it’s the Irish in them. The Voice is trying to differentiate themselves from the X Factor and Danny is different to all the other judges. He’s the middle ground amongst the other judges, he brings a bit of indie to the line-up whereas Jessie J is the R and B act, which is probably why they chose him over someone like Will Young [who was also in the running for The Voice.]"
